General Enhancer Mandates

  1. Each Enhancer has its own registration number assigned at time of crafting by the Ministry it was created under.
  2. An enhancer may be assigned to any member of a guild, ONLY by a Grand Commander (GC). The wielder must meet the registration requirements for support enhancers. Any guild member may be assigned Offensive and Defensive enhancers.
    1. This assignment must be placed in the wielder's life scrolls.
    2. Without this information, in the persons profile at the time of verification the use of the enhancer(s) are illegal. (proctors are encouraged to take screen prints of said information.)
  3. Enhancers may be used in any style of combat approved by the UoFG, except where restricted by an event flyer or Terms of War.
  4. In times of war, or an event, a combatant may not refuse to fight a person on the grounds that they wield an enhancer. Any such attempt is treated as a forfeit and full points will be awarded for the opposing guild.
  5. Intern and fledgling entities may only hold enhancers that are the personal property of its members. They may not be loaned enhancers for the purposes of war, or events. They may not purchase enhancers, or be gifted enhancers by other entit ies.
Special Enhancers

  1. A special class of enhancers exists that provide bonuses not normally available.
  2. These enhancers cannot be ordered by entities within the forum, all of them are either awarded by the Ministry or through forum-wide events.
  3. Special class enhancers are considered personally owned by their wielders.
  4. Perception enhancers give the wielder a bonus to Perception rolls in Assassination/Capture Attempts and Thief Attempts, and are available in +1 and +2 bonus levels.
  5. Initiative enhancers give the wielder a bonus to their initiative roll in combat matches, and are available in +5 and +10 bonus levels.
  6. Both Special class enhancer types add their bonuses directly to the roll before the outcome is determined.
Parliament Service Enhancers

  1. Upon completion of a probationary period, a new Minister will be awarded a voucher equal in value to the cost of a +1 Support Enhancer. The gift is permanent and one time only.
  2. An enhancer purchased with this voucher is considered personally owned and may be used by the Minister in any entity.
Personal Enhancers

  1. An enhancer that is personally owned can be used by the owner in any legal match, for any guild. One guild, however, must be designated as the holding guild, and the enhancer will be listed on their roster.
  2. The owner of a personal enhancer may gift their enhancer to any entity or person of their choosing, at any time by sending a letter notifying the Parliament that they desire to do so and naming the new owner.
    1. This change in ownership is not subject to recall.
    2. An enhancer that has been made gifted to an entity will be considered to be a part of the Entities
      enhancer roster.
    3. The Registry for that enhancer will have the “P” designation removed.
    4. If the enhancer is gifted to another person, that new owner will need to inform Parliament what Entity it should be listed in for tracking.
  3. A Commander may make any enhancer personal by sending a letter notifying the Parliament that they desire to do so and naming the new owner.
    1. This is not subject to recall.
    2. An enhancer that has been made personal will still be considered to be a part of the Entities enhancer
roster until such time as the owner requests it to be transferred.
  4. Upgrades made to a personal enhancer, will be considered part of the enhancer from the time they are ordered and received. They are not subject to refund should the wielder transfer the enhancer to another entity.
  5. Should the holder leave UoFG without leaving further instructions, the enhancer will be considered property of the guild that originally ordered the enhancer. If that guild no longer exists within the forum, it will remain the property of the last guild in which it was held.  If the original ordering guild had gifted the enhancer, it will go to the guild it was gifted too.
    1. Should the former wielder have been found to have left the forum due to otherwordly causes,
upon return to the forum, they may petition the Parliament for renewed ownership of the enhancer,
such decisions are made on a case by case basis and all available proof of ownership should be
      included in the request.
    2. If the request is decided in favor of the former owner, any upgrades made to the enhancer since
it was last transferred are subject to refund.
Tracking Personal Enhancers

  1. A special class of enhancers
    1. The only time Enhancers may not be loaned, is when the intended recipient entity is currently at, or
about to engage in war, prior to the trading of War Rosters.
  2. An enhancer that is personally owned can be used by the owner in any legal match, for any guild. One guild, however, must be designated as the holding guild, and the enhancer will be listed on their roster.
  3. The owner of a personal enhancer may gift their enhancer to any entity of their choosing, at any time by sending a letter notifying the Parliament that they desire to do so and naming the new owner.
    1. The owner of a personal enhancer cannot directly gift their enhancer to another member of the forum.
    2. This change in ownership is not subject to recall.
    3. An enhancer that has been made gifted to an entity will be considered to be a part of the Entities
      enhancer roster
    4. The Registry for that enhancer will have the “P” designation removed.
Use of Enhancers

  1. A UoFG member may carry up to six standard enhancers per entity in which they are a member. (One Offensive, one Defensive, one Healer, one Mage, one Thief, and one Assassin.)
  2. A member may only list one enhancer per type for each entity (ex. Only one attack enhancer, or Healing support enhancer).
  3. In order for enhancer use to be valid, the enhancer must be clearly listed in the wielder’s lifescroll. The wielder must also state the e nhancers name, registry number, type, and bonus when asked by the proctor.
    1. If the use of an enhancer in a match is contested, the last enhancer roster submitted by the wielder’s entity will be used to determine if the enhancer use was legal. This can be superseded by an assignment notification dated after the last roster and before “Log On” of the contested match.
  4. You may only use the enhancers in which belong to the entity you are declaring to fight for in a match.
  5. You may use an enhancer as often as you do the action it enhances. Everytime one takes an offensive posture, they may use their offensive enhancer. Everytime one takes a defensive posture, they may use their defensive enhancer. Mage, Heal, Assassin, and Thief enhancers may only be used when doing those jobs.
  6. Personal enhancers may be used by the owner in any match, they may be used in place of an entity-assigned enhancer if so desired. This does not violate the “one per type per entity” rule listed above.
  7. In order for the enhancer bonus to be counted in the score, the enhancer must be used in the attack, support attempt or assassination/capture/thieving attempt, and the bonus must be stated. It is not necessary to give the proper name of the enhancer or its registry number in each use.
    1. An attack must score at least one point of damage in order for the enhancer bonus to be applied.
  8. In order for the bonus from a defensive enhancer to be counted in the score, at least one defense dice must be rolled. A combatant going full tilt (all dice toward attack), is too engaged to employ their defenses. The bonus is subtracted from the attack even if the dice roll fails.
