Each match must have an independent proctor who is not one of the combatants involved in a match. Self-proctored matches will be voided.
Each combatant has three minutes to post an action. This does not mean that an action must be finished in three minutes, however if one has not started then their attack and dodge/defend your turn will be voided. If a combatant fails to act twice in a match, then they forfeit at full penalty of Match Type and Currency Points (CP).
Should a combatant punt, they will have 10 minutes to return or automatically lose the match. If this occurs, then you will suffer all penalties of the match (IE: Capture or Death). Proctor needs to list the time in which a person has punted, and the time in which a combatant returns. At the count of ten minutes, if the combatant does not return then they have lost the match no matter what the score.
BE DESCRIPTIVE. If someone rolls a Critical, chances are your character will be bleeding, or broken in some other way. Let us know where your attack was aimed. Torso? Head? Leg? We don't care if your attack takes up one or thirty lines, so long as it is descriptive and creative.
Talking during a private match is completely prohibited. Should this occur, the proctor is urged to issue a warning. If the warning is ignored the violator's entity (Guild or Clan) will be cited and fined. Matches in public (Public Rooms) are not subject to this, and in any private match both combatants may chose to forego this rule.
The first combatant to reach the set score in a match wins.
If a combatant wishes to contest a proctor's score keeping or ruling, they may freely pause the match to do so, for the sake of fairness. Combatants may also request a score count of any roll made in order to determine their next plan of action. [ Example: requesting a score count of an attack roll before deciding how many dice to use for defense ]
If you are in a match you may not act out of turn. This is not supposed to feel like a you go, I go, kind of fight, it is meant to seem like a continuous battle. After your attack, refrain from further action. Once you roll the dice, your turn has ended.

Initiative:
Initiative for all matches is 1d100.
The person with the highest roll then chooses Offense or Defense.
In the event of a tied roll, combatants will both re-roll until tie is broken.
Offense: Attack first
Advantage: Since there is no honor strike, choosing offense gives the opportunity to reach the set score first in a match
Defense: Attack second
Advantage: By seeing the attack first, choosing defense allows one to calculate how many dice to reserve for their attack
Dice Strength:
Combatants use 4d entity strength
(4dXX)
Entity strength can split between attack and defense, so long as at least one die is used during the attack phase.
A combatant may designate to take "No Defense" at their discretion.
All four dice must be rolled each turn. Even if you have no reason to roll defense dice, you must roll them.
Entity Strength:
Entity strength is set between d40 and d60.
Critical Roll:
A Critical or [ CRIT! ] is when a combatant rolls a maximum die roll on either attack or defense.
Whenever a combatant rolls a Critical (CRIT!) while either attacking or defending, they are granted an additional die to their pool during the next round of combat. (5d Guild Strength)
Example:
OnlineHost: Death Sorer 55 rolled 2 56-sided dice: 56 55
Kevin Ikin Amon: [ CRIT!!! - Rizzen. Rizzen gets an extra die next round. ]
Botch Roll:
A Botch is when a combatant rolls a 1 on a die roll on either attack or defense.
Whenever a combatant rolls a 1 while either attack or defending, they lose one die during the next round of combat. (3d Guild Strength)
Example:
OnlineHost: Warrior rolled 4 56-sided dice: 41 11 1 11
Fighter: [ No defense ]
Proctor: [ BOTCH! ]
Proctor: Warrior 6/30 - Fighter 0/30 - Warrior botched and loses one die
in the next round.

The drow was in a bad mood as of late. Entering the arena through his signature dimensional portal, his scimitars were drawn and their energy - crimson and midnight blue - were licking at the darkness that the drow constantly basked in. A wicked grin was on his ebony tiers as those
crimson daggers of eyes searched around for his target - Fighter. Once she was
seen, he was off in a flash and in complete silence. His adamant chain mail
and leather armor would never make a sound, constantly molding to his bodies
movements, as was his piwafwi flailing around like a ominous trail of blood
flowing behind him. His heel-to-toe steps carried him without a sound.
Every step he took, the psionicist tore at her mind, poking and stabbing. Up until
he came into a three foot radius of her body, Malice in his right hand hung
low and a opaque ash was left in its wake, and Bane was left in an unseeable
mist in its. Malice was the first to cut it, cutting a line in her calf,
Bane shooting up to her left shoulder.

::The sound that managed to escape through unpainted tiers
was akin to that of an injured animal - shrill, and downright angry. She
found herself coming down to a knee, her right hand clamping down against her
calf - not in hopes of stopping the pain, but out of simple reaction to the
blood spurting from the gaping wound in her flesh. Hazels sliced across the
horizon toward Warrior, that blood soaked hand lending her strength to regain
her footing for the time being... Along with that rising form, a long metal
chain was produced from her knapsack - using her hips to increase its
momentum, it was snapped in an arching pattern toward Warrior's neck - she
wanted to choke the damn life out of him.::

The drow felt the chain wrap around his neck, and a bigger
smile came onto his lips as the thought came into his mind. What color does
a completely black creature turn when choked? He'd have to ponder it later,
his breath was being used and an inner rage rose in him as his visage took
on a red hue from the rage. Malice and Bane cut into her legs to try and cut
her down to her knees, and if succeeded his knee came up at the same time to
connect with her chin. He dipped below the chain and tried to unwrap it.

::Although the curse was not given the breath necessary to
make itself known, it was clearly written on the tortured curling of those
lips... Bane had not cut as deeply as Malice, which had nearly carved its own
niche into her femur. Warrior had succeeded in bringing the young femme to
one knee, while the other leg stretched out to provide some semblance of
stability. Blood-soaked digits had found their way to the dagger strapped to
her thigh - it took longer than she anticipated to remove it from its sheathe,
considering she was trying to lean into Malice to prevent Warrior from tearing
it free from her flesh. Those digits curled tightly 'round the hilt, knuckles
white as it was swung in an in and upward motion toward his ribcage.::

The drow smiled as she leaned into his sentient blade. He
willed Malice effects of a burning sensation at the point of contant, than
through her body. The dagger was put into his rib and he lurched over in
pain. Tearing Malice free he flung the blood from it to the ground. Bane was
flipped over to hold the hilt forth and smash into her left temple, since she
was still on her knee. Malice shot back into her ribs now.

::When Warrior had torn Malice from the gash in her thigh, it
had caused the girl to reel toward the opposite side - which brought her into
direct contact with the hilt of Bane, but saved her from being chop suey,
courtesy of Malice. Malice had indeed carved its way across the side of her
torso, proven true by the bubbling vitae that trailed its way across her hip
in record fashion. From this position, she could not retrieve her blade... so
her left hand was pulled away from the ground, digits retreating into the palm
of her hand to bare bony knuckles - she'd go down swinging if she had to.
With that thought in mind, a tiny, feminine fist launched for his jawline.::

The drow pulled his blades back, and hopped back from her
curving fist. A smile on his lips, though he was more damaged than her, he
at least avoided the punch. Malice and Bane were swung around in wide
curving archs before the were each sent towards her ribs. He wanted to feel her
vitals flow from her body before he went down in a heap.
